Staghorn Sumac
Latin Name: Rhus typhina
Description of Appearance: Staghorn Sumac is a deciduous shrub known for its striking appearance. It has dense, upright branches that resemble the antlers of a stag, hence the name 'Staghorn'. The leaves are compound with serrated edges and turn vibrant shades of red, orange, and yellow in the fall. The plant also produces clusters of fuzzy, red fruit in late summer and fall.
